Chuck and I made a trip to South Dakota and I hadn’t had a chance to visit the state since I was a young girl. My dad took my brothers and I out to Custar State Park for a hike. Growing up, my parents did a great job at allowing my brothers and I to experience the beauty and magic of the outdoors. We went on countless family road trips across the United States, which really fueled my passion and desire to explore as much as I can!
While in SD, we decided that we wanted to visit the Badlands National Park, take a quick pit stop at Mt. Rushmore, try and get a hike or at least take in some views at Custar State Park and then visit WinCave National Park as well! Thankfully, we were able to make all three of those activities happen.
We just bought a new camera, the DJI Osmo Pocket. I had heard about this little camera from a thru-hiker, Elisa Osborne, who hiked the PCT in 2019. I watched her YouTube videos documenting her trip and was blown away by the quality of her videos. As soon as she shared which camera she used, I instantly knew I wanted one too! I can say, it did NOT disappoint! Chuck and I had so much fun playing around with the slow motion, 4K video and everything else!
We were able to piece together a fun short video so I hope you enjoy it and may it spark adventure in your own life!
